Get to Know Cryptic-X

The Architect · Engineer · Producer · CEO

Cryptic-X is the lead Engineer, Producer, and CEO at Killing Field Records. He also moonlights as a swag-drenched rapper from time to time. The incredible audio quality at KFR results from Cryptic's special sauce.

Never being pigeonholed, Nebraska's own Cryptic-X effortlessly weaves narratives through noise to project the perfect mood.

Born in 1983, Bryan Jenkins grew up in North Platte, Nebraska. His first foray into audio came after spending time in music forums. In 2002 Cryptic-X received some beats from a user on Faygoluvers.net to hone his skills with.

Working on cracked versions of Cakewalk and Sony's ACID, Cryptic-X crafted his first mixtape "Style X". Some say if you scour the internet long enough or go through some rural Nebraska basements you may still find a copy of the original "Style X".

Bryan had previously been dabbling in audio since 2002 with music and video under the name "Cryptic-X" and decided to take it serious in 2019 when he enrolled in Full Sail University's Audio Production degree and graduated in 2022.

Now residing in Lincoln, Nebraska, Cryptic-X is absorbed in his craft. In December 2019 he founded Killing Field Records with his brother Anthony "Jinx" Jenkins. With a combined 20+ years of Audio/Music industry experience, Killing Field Records is the premiere underground Hip-Hop & R&B label in Nebraska.
